Filming

For our short clip we had to film in class we decided to do a horror film clip in the basement of the school. The base of the story was mainly the circle game where an evil person has the powers to kill anyone from them looking at a circle. There were four of us and we used an ivory stick as our prop. The stick was used as a weapon to create fear in viewers hearts before they see the circle. In the filming we used open whole scene shots and close ups making the general feeling of the clip to be claustrophobic and warping. We got half the amount of videoing we needed as we did not have the time to film the end. The camera kept turning off every now and then but we sorted it out and carried on filming. We had a good amount of light as we needed to create a gloomy scene to capture the sense of where it was taking place. The blurry and strange shots in the clip will help make it really stand out from other groups.

The observer front page shows many different types of media language. People that read the observer as costumers are completely neutral and non bias to what they are reading. This is shown because the writers show both sides of the argument equally to make sure they are not being unfair. In the Observer the entertainment articles really try and capture the sense of humor and fun to enlighten their readers with some shallow giggles. They do this by making the look of it very open and have puns in the headlines to capture peoples attention. Also included in the magazine for fun options are things like puzzles crosswords and mind games to keep the readers entertained. In general there magazine is shown as a fun, interesting item to read.

The magazine also has many large, well known names in-cooperated into it. This is because they want to catch peoples attention as many followers of these big people want to know whats going on in their life. This creates attention towards their magazines as people see that their idol is on the magazine and they want to know whats happened with them. This is an example with Gigi Hadid, her followers would pick up the magazine as they might want to see what she is doing. This would mean the magazine would end up having a larger target market and in general improving the sales amounts and profit.
